Shark Wheels

Shark Wheel is a wheel company founded by a small team in Southern California. In 2012, the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator named Shark Wheel as one of its select portfolio companies for its wide array of performance advantages across industries. Based just outside of Los Angeles in Orange County, Shark Wheel has opened its first skateboard retail shop. Attached to the retail shop is a large warehouse where the magic happens.

David M. Patrick (the inventor of the Shark Wheel) works with Pedro Valdez (world renown Hollywood mold maker-Spiderman, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc) to come up with the latest Shark Wheel innovations.

The design is the perfect intersection between a cube and a sphere. It looks like a square or cube rolling from the side/45 degree angle, but from the rear view looks like a snake or three-dimensional sine wave in motion. The Shark Wheel is a revolutionary wheel design that offers superior performance advantages. (refer to ‘Technology’ page for list of advantages).

David M. Patrick discovered the Shark Wheel in his attempt to solve a major scientific principle. He built a physical model from the math his theory predicted and ended up with Nature’s Shape.

Once he realized the significant advantages of the wheel, a team was assembled, a patent was obtained, and Shark Wheel was born. David reinvented the wheel. Literally.

Feature articles in the Los Angeles Business Journal, The Huffington Post, Popular Science, The Atlantic, Yahoo.com, MSN.com, The International Business Times, as well as a full segment on The Discovery Channel were quick to point out history had been made. The Shark Wheel was the reinvention of the traditional wheel.

The Shark Wheel can be used for almost any application that uses a wheel. We plan to move into a full spectrum of markets where the Shark Wheel could increase efficiency, roll faster, and maneuver through uneven surfaces. David’s passion for skateboarding led to the Shark Wheel becoming a skateboard wheel and is a perfect application for the design advantages to be showcased.

After multiple prototypes and extensive testing, Shark Wheel launched a highly successful Kickstarter campaign to bring the Shark Wheel to market. We have received an enormous amount of interest all around the world and the skateboarding epicenter in Southern California. The Shark Wheel team grew up in the California skate and surf culture. We love the Shark Wheel and know that you will love them too!
